The problem
To design a premium watercolour set that can be transported and used anywhere. It had to hold a brush and 18 replaceable paint pots, as well as an area for mixing the colours. The only constraint was design for injection moulding.
Design for injection moulding
All components had to have suitable draft and wall thickness for the chosen polymer. It was a challenge to make the hinge mouldable and I used existing products as inspiration for my solution.
